David's cake (spellcheck!)
I have a bud named David who lives in Dallas. He has worked for the Dallas school system for many years as a teacher and librarian, and he retired today. This is an actual photo of his retirement cake. Are you sure you want to send your kids to school in Texas?
I gave David some retirement advice in my personally patented form of poesy:
Retirement’s not easy and you should consider,
Deciding what’s good and discarding what’s litter.
Start making a list,
Of assholes you’ve kissed,
Remember what’s sweet and forgetting what’s bitter.
I wish all the best to David and hope he reaches his potential in reading at an adult level.
